present a conference style day exploring social and physical accessibility and inclusivity issues for neurodiverse people, with workshops and discussions 10th July 2023 10pm til 3pm The Factory Floor, The Quarter
The aim of this first day is to develop strategies and a working group of lived experienced theatricals and experts to deliver further work and social based workshops in the community, schools and industry and train advocates/workshop leaders. After working together to create a deliverable format, the group will present another day of workshops, this time aimed at businesses, schools and communities. This will be folowed by a series of in house, ongoing workshops about making the world less disabled for neurodiverse people with disabilities, visible and hidden. These will not only address the medical and functional models of disability but especially the social model, focussing on barriers, environment and people. The key to this work is a co design, co production, collaborative approach to shape the workshops and the worlds of the people eventually delivering them. The day will include
